1.2 Starting the editor


This section describes all required steps to start the VOCL editor that includes the creation of a simple project and a *.vocl file.

1.2.1 Creating a *.vocl File

Before you can create a *.vocl file, it is recommended to create a simple empty project (see Fig 1.2.1). By doing this, you have to specify a name for the project (see. Fig 1.2.2).

For creating a *.vocl file you have to start the new wizard of Eclipse. This can be done by clicking the right mouse button in the Navigation View or the Package View. Then you have to click other. Otherwise you can also click the button in the toolbar. If the editor was installed properly you will find an entry VOCL-File Creation Wizard (see Fig 1.2.3).
By clicking the next button, you will  see a dialog in which you have to define a container (e.g the create project from above) and a name of the *.vocl file. (see Fig 1.2.4)
