I am a Postdoctoral Researcher of Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB), working with Prof. Volker Markl at the Database Systems and Information Management (DIMA) group. I am currently conducting research on spatial big data analytics and I am further interested in robust stream processing in IoT environments.
I received my PhD from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2019, where I worked in the Data-Intensive Applications and Systems (DIAS) lab on query processing algorithms and indexing methods for spatial and temporal data exploration with Prof. Anastasia Ailamaki. In summer 2016, I was a visiting researcher at the New York University (NYU), where I worked with Prof. Juliana Freire.
I received the Diploma M. Eng. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2013.
